Steinbach RCMP have charged 49 year old Anton Penner and 28 year old Edwin Harder-Fehr with production of cannabis marijuana, as well as other related charges in connection with the two grow operations taken down on May 19, 2009, in the RM of Ste. Anne.
Harder was also charged for possession of property obtained by crime as a stolen snowmobile and snowmobile trailer were located on his property. Penner was charged for breaching a firearm prohibition order as he was arrested with a firearm in his residence.
Steinbach RCMP estimate the street value of the marijuana seized to be around 1.6 million dollars.
