“I would love to see communication and openness as a core value on the Board. This would ensure that every voice is heard and taken into consideration when making the decisions that affect the education our children receive, and who they grow up to become,” said Dyck. “I want to work to ensure that no child falls through the cracks and that no voice is left unheard. I know this is a challenging task, but is something I will strive for if I’m fortunate enough to be elected to the Board.”

Dyck is a graduate of 13 years of the public school system in Steinbach and appreciated the fact it was a safe place to learn and excel as a student and as an individual. She notes that education is something that affects every aspect of our community.

“Every person is impacted by education in some way. We all have a stake in ensuring our schools are safe and strong,” said Dyck. “The values of the Steinbach community have made our schools very desirable for students, parents and teachers. I want to see this maintained and strengthened for future generations.”

Dyck is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg with a degree in conflict resolution. She currently works at the Steinbach Credit Union in the Member Services department. She and her husband Jeremy reside in Steinbach.
