At approximately 3:30pm on July 14, 2014, Steinbach RCMP received a call of a single vehicle rollover. Police were already traveling towards the scene at the time of the call and were the first emergency responders on scene.
Investigation revealed that a male driver, who was pulling a trailer with logs, attempted to pass a large truck traveling at a low speed. When the driver entered the left lane to pass the large truck, the trailer he was pulling started to sway from side to side. The driver attempted to gain control of the trailer, but hit the shoulder and lost control resulting in the truck rolling at least two times into the ditch.
Police say that there were three people in the vehicle at the time of the collision, a male driver as well as a female and youth passenger. All three were out of the vehicle when police arrived on scene and were treated for minor injuries, attending the hospital for precautionary reasons.
At this time RCMP are not considering laying any charges.
