On July 26, 2014, just after 11am, Snow Lake RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Highway 392, at the Snow Creek bridge.
Initial police investigation shows the vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 392 when the single-vehicle collision occurred. The vehicle was found on the east side of the highway below the bridge and the exact time of the collision is still being determined.
When RCMP arrived on scene, two males were found inside the vehicle. One male, 28, from Flin Flon, Manitoba, was deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old male from Flin Flon, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It is not yet determined if alcohol is a factor in the collision. It appears upon initial investigation that the driver was wearing a seatbelt and the deceased was not.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
