Some Manitobans who received photo radar speeding tickets issued between June 27 and July 1 in the construction zone on southbound Kenaston Boulevard, south of Scurfield Boulevard, will not be required to pay the fine in certain circumstances. The affected tickets did not accurately reflect they were issued in a designated construction zone and included an incorrect fine.
Manitoba Justice will issue a refund to anyone who has already fully or partially paid the fine associated with these specific tickets. Everyone affected by this administrative error will receive a letter including individuals who have made payments, set a court date or requested additional time to pay the fine.
Manitobans who do not receive a letter should continue to follow the instructions on their ticket.
To get more information about whether their ticket is affected, Manitobans can call 204-945-3156 or visit Manitoba Summary Convictions Court at 373 Broadway in Winnipeg.
