On August 2, 2014, shortly before 2:30pm, Yellowhead Area RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 10 at Victor Road in Onanole, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation indicates that a 2004 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north on Highway 10 when it struck a 14-year-old female youth who was attempting to cross the highway.
Police say that the youth was seriously injured and taken to Winnipeg hospital where she remains in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle, a 70-year-old woman from the Minnedosa area, was not injured.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst will be assisting with the ongoing investigation.
