On August 9, 2014, at about 4:15pm St. Pierre RCMP, along with local emergency services, responded to a report of a possible drowning at St. Malo Provincial Park Beach.
Police investigation revealed a 19-year-old male from the RM of Morris had come under distress while swimming. The male was removed from the water and transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
RCMP continue to investigate.
