On August 12, 2014, just before 4am, Lundar RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 6, approximately 10 kilometres north of St. Laurent near Oak Point, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation shows that a southbound pickup truck hit the shoulder and rolled. The truck then landed in the west ditch, where it caught fire.
Police say that the two male occupants of the pickup truck, both 24 years of age and from Winnipeg, were ejected from the vehicle. They were transported to local hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP report that neither of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor to the collision.
The investigation continues with the assistance of a RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist.
