On August 10, 2014, just before 3:30am, Portage la Prairie RCMP received report of a home invasion at a residence in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Police investigation revealed that the male homeowner heard a knock at the front door and, upon looking out the window, saw a female standing outside. He proceeded to open the door and two males pushed their way into the residence. The males held the victim at knife-point and robbed him of a number of items in his home before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The suspects have been identified as 34-year-old Walter Darrell Bradburn and 41-year-old Curtis Lance Asham, both of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Charges of break and enter, robbery with a weapon, uttering threats and unlawful confinement have been laid against both men.
On August 12, 2014, Walter Bradburn was located and arrested. He is currently being held in police custody and scheduled to appear in Portage la Prairie court on August 13, 2014. An arrest warrant for Curtis Asham is still outstanding.

On August 19, 2014, the Manitoba Integrated Warrant Apprehension Unit, with the assistance of the Winnipeg Police Tactical Unit and the Winnipeg Police Dog Unit, located and arrested Curtis Asham in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
