On August 13, 2014, at approximately 8:30am, Oxford House RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to the medical evacuation airplane hangar in Oxford House First Nation, Manitoba.
When officers arrived on scene, it was discovered that emergency bags were stolen from the site and a fire extinguisher had been emptied into the medical evacuation airplane. Due to these actions, the medical evacuation airplane is out of service until it can be cleaned and mechanically inspected.
Police say that the emergency bags that were stolen contained medical items, including medications. If used incorrectly, these medications could result in a health emergency.
