On May 26, 2009 at about 5 a.m., Stonewall RCMP were dispatched to a fire at the All-Fab Building Components Inc. in Stony Mountain, MB.
Several local area Fire Departments, including Stonewall-Rockwood, Stony Mountain, RM of Rosser and West St. Paul were on scene fighting the fire.
RCMP continue their investigation assisted by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner. The cause is unknown at present. Damage will be extensive.
One Fireman from the Stony Mountain Fire Department was injured and taken to Stonewall Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and is reported in stable condition.

The damage to the business is estimated between 2.5 and 3 million dollars. The investigation continues into the cause of the fire.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner has completed the examination of the scene, and located nothing suspicious regarding the origins of the fire. The investigation is continuing. The damage estimate for the building and contents is approximately $4 million dollars, with an additional $1 million dollars for loss of use of the facility by Al-Fab.
