On August 28, 2014, at approximately 2:30pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a collision involving a semi-truck and pedestrian on Highway 1, approximately one kilometre east of Creekside Campground in Manitoba. EMS and the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist attended as well.
Initial police investigation revealed that a 2013 Freightliner semi-truck collided with a pedestrian. The 74 year-old male pedestrian was transported to hospital with what is reported as non- life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate.
