Steinbach RCMP have recently received complaints of suspicious business practices in the Steinbach area, with reports of suspicious people going door to door selling educational books and asking strange personal questions.
Police say that the company involved is based in the State of Tennessee and has had numerous complaints made against it. These complaints include deceptive and aggressive marketing tactics, providing an inferior product and asking inappropriate questions regarding the families of prospective customers.
Residents are asked to be diligent in any dealings with door to door sales people. Any suspicious persons/activities can be reported to the Steinbach detachment at 204-326-4452.
