Selkirk RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating a missing youth, 16-year-old Katie Fontaine-Wood.
On September 5, 2014, Katie Fontaine-Wood, 16, went missing from her home in Lester Beach, Manitoba. It appears she exited the home through a window with a suitcase of clothing. It is believed that she was able to hitch a ride in a passing vehicle.
Fontaine-Wood is described as Aboriginal, 5’5″ tall, approximately 135 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes.
Fontaine-Wood is considered an at-risk youth and police are concerned for her well-being. RCMP are asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Selkirk RCMP at 204-482-1222 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
