Steinbach RCMP would like to warn the public that a computer scam, involving a call from someone claiming to represent Microsoft, has re-surfaced in the local area.

Steinbach RCMP would like to inform the public that should you receive a call from someone representing Microsoft, do not provide them access to your computer or any personal information such as Debit Card or Credit Card numbers.

RCMP are emphasizing that this is a scam that has re-surfaced in the local area. Citizens should know that Microsoft does not make personal calls.
