On September 5, 2014, just after 2:30pm, Shoal Lake RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16, at the east entrance to Newdale, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation shows a northbound car on Highway 250 entered onto Highway 16, where the vehicle collided with an eastbound semi.
RCMP report that the 73-year-old male driver of the car, from Waskada, suffered serious injuries. A female passenger, also from Waskada, suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to hospital. The 26-year-old male driver of the semi, from Winkler, was not injured in the collision.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
