On September 5, 2014, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received numerous complaints of thefts from motor vehicles in the Town of Niverville, as well as the Village of Ile-Des-Chênes.
Police say that many of the vehicles were left unlocked and contained valuables that were stolen. In Niverville, a pickup truck was stolen, but was later located in the community by the RCMP.
RCMP are asking anyone with information connected to these incidents, to contact the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP at 204-433-7908 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. The RCMP would like to remind the public to take the extra step to protect personal belongings. Do not leave an open invitation for thieves…secure your vehicle.
