Stonewall RCMP are asking the public for any information connected to a recent theft incident that occurred in the RM of Rockwood.
On August 11, 2014, just before 9am, Stonewall RCMP received report of a theft of copper grounding wire from a commercial site in the RM of Rockwood, Manitoba.
Police say that the suspect cut through a perimeter fence and proceeded to cut the copper grounding wire from the fence with bolt cutters. An adjoining construction trailer was broken into as well, and a spool of #2 copper wire and two sets of hand tools were stolen.
RCMP have video surveillance of the suspect and describe the suspect as male with a light build and dark hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt at the time.
This crime has many similar elements to a theft of copper wire that occurred at a commercial site in Stonewall two weeks prior.
