On September 24, 2014, at approximately 6:15am, Stonewall and Teulon RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 at Provincial Road 322.
Police say that a car was attempting to turn south onto Highway 6 from PR 322 when it collided with an SUV traveling north on Highway 6.
The 18-year-old male driver of the car, from Grosse Isle, was transported to hospital in serious condition. The 26-year-old male driver of the SUV and his 49-year-old male passenger, both from Winnipeg, suffered minor injuries in the collision.
RCMP report that alcohol is not considered a factor in this incident, though distracted driving is being investigated as a possible cause of the collision. All persons involved were wearing seatbelts.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
