On October 12, 2014, at approximately 3:20pm, both Russell and Roblin RCMP received a report of an ATV incident in the RM of Shellmouth-Boulton.
Police say that a 10-year-old boy was riding an ATV on private property when he lost control and was thrown from the ATV. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
RCMP report that the inexperience and the absence of a helmet on the victim are considered factors in the death of the boy. The RCMP Forensic Collision Analyst Unit is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
