On October 19, 2014, at approximately 6:20pm, Oakbank RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1, 2 km east of Deacons Corner, in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba.
Police say that a black 2012 Dodge Journey was traveling west on Highway 1 when it collided with a grey 2014 Jeep Cherokee that was traveling in the same direction.
RCMP report that the occupants of the Jeep Cherokee, a 55-year-old female and a 13-year-old female, both from Winnipeg, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The occupant of the Dodge Journey, a 28-year-old female from the RM of Springfield, was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The RCMP Forensic Collision Analyst Unit is assisting in the ongoing investigation. Speed and alcohol are considered to be a factor in this incident.
