Recently, the northern community of Churchill brought forward to their local RCMP detachment a concern over the use and the trafficking of an illegal drug. Churchill RCMP then initiated an investigation to respond to that concern.

On October 23, 2014, at approximately 9am, Churchill RCMP attended the local train station and arrested two individuals. The search of the individuals revealed a total of 12 grams of what is believe to be MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxy-methamphetamine), which is a significant amount for a community the size of Churchill, Manitoba.

RCMP report that Lisa Allen, 33, from Churchill and Adrian Traverse, 28, from Winnipeg, were charged for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They were both released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court on March 16, 2015, in Churchill, Manitoba.
