On May 29, 2009 at around 7:15pm RCMP Selkirk conducted a controlled drug and substances act search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of Toronto Avenue in the City of Selkirk.
RCMP seized approximately 4 ounces of powder cocaine, approximately 10 grams of marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and over $300 cash.
RCMP have charged two men and two women all residents of Selkirk Manitoba.
22-year-old Alexander Doyle has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, production of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance. Doyle was remanded into custody and is being held at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. 46-year-old Jeffrey Hall Drobot has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, production of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. Drobot was released from custody before a Magistrate and is scheduled to appear in Selkirk Provincial Court June 19, 2009. A 22-year-old Selkirk woman has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance. She was released from custody before a Magistrate and is scheduled to appear in Selkirk Provincial Court June 19, 2009. 35-year-old Michelle Lynne Obirek of has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance. Obirek was released from custody before a Magistrate and is scheduled to appear in Selkirk Provincial Court June 19, 2009.
