On Dec 4, 2014, the RCMP Winnipeg Major Crime Unit, along with the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit, provided assistance to the Altona Police Service regarding allegations of voyeurism and making child pornography against a member of the Altona Police Service.
RCMP report that a 33-year-old man from Altona has been arrested and is facing charges of voyeurism, making child pornography and possession of child pornography. The man was released from custody and will appear in Altona Provincial Court on January 26, 2015. He has been suspended with pay from the Altona Police Service.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victims, who are under the age of 17.
Police continue to investigate.
