On December 8, 2014, just before 2:30pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a suspicious person walking on Dawson Road in Lorette, Manitoba.
Police say that the man appeared to be in his mid-twenties, Caucasian, with short blond hair. He was wearing a black vest similar to soft body armour or a training vest. There were no weapons involved, nor any threats made by this individual.
As a precaution RCMP requested the schools in the community to lock down until the area could be patrolled. Police have not found the individual. However, with police still patrolling the area, it was deemed safe for children to leave school and go home. The lock down was lifted by 3pm.
