On December 11, 2014, police officers from the Steinbach RCMP Detachment and the Steinbach RCMP General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at a residence in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police say that while executing the search warrant, a substantial amount of marijuana, Canadian currency and a number of prohibited weapons were located and seized.
Police investigation revealed that suspects were trafficking marijuana from the residence, as well as on the properties of nearby schools.
RCMP report that 19-year-old Cameron Sass of Steinbach, 23-year-old Trenton Sass of Steinbach, 19-year-old Nathan Botham of Steinbach, 18-year-old Lillian Morrisseau of Mitchell and 20-year-old Dylan Hildebrand of Steinbach were arrested and charged. All accused are facing numerous weapons and drug-related charges and were released for appearance in Steinbach Provincial court on February 5, 2015.
RCMP report that on December 13, 2014, a 21-year-old male from Steinbach was also arrested in relation to this investigation. The male was released on a Promise to Appear, however, has not yet been formally charged.
