The Pas RCMP have arrested and charged two men in two separate, unrelated cocaine trafficking investigations.
On January 10, 2015, The Pas RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Dorion Avenue in Opaskwayak, Manitoba. The Pas and Opaskwayak RCMP assisted with the search. Also on the same day, The Pas RCMP executed a CDSA search warrant at an apartment on Edwards Avenue in The Pas, Manitoba. During the course of these searches, police seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and cash.
Arrested and facing numerous drug-related charges are a 27-year-old Opaskwayak man as well as a 50-year-old man from The Pas.
RCMP would like to remind the public that those who traffic in illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities. The RCMP remain fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent. Anyone with information regarding drug trafficking is asked to call their local police agency or RCMP detachment.
