On January 14, 2015, at about 8:30am, Lac du Bonnet RCMP and local emergency services attended to a vehicle collision on McArthur Avenue in the Town of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Upon arrival, police officers found a car that had passed through a wooden fence and landed in a ditch. The driver, a 55-year-old Lac du Bonnet woman, was not injured but showed signs of being intoxicated by alcohol. She was arrested and taken to the Lac du Bonnet RCMP Detachment where a breath test showed her blood alcohol concentration to be three times the legal limit.
RCMP report that the Lac du Bonnet woman is facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, impaired operation over 80mg% and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. She has been released from custody to appear in Beausejour Court on February 2, 2015.
