On January 22, 2015, at about 9:30am, Swan River RCMP and local emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 83, south of Benito, Manitoba.
Police investigation revealed that a southbound pickup truck, driven by a 23-year-old man from Swan River, collided with a trailer being hauled by another southbound pickup truck driven by a 60-year-old driver from the RM of Mountain, Manitoba. The 23-year-old male driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP report that road conditions nor alcohol is considered a factor in this incident and that all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
