On January 29, 2015, at approximately 4:45pm, RCMP responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision in the northbound lane on Highway 59, between Dunning Road and Garven Road.
Investigation shows two pickup trucks collided head-on. Police say that the westbound pickup truck attempted to cross Highway 59 at Dunning Road when it was struck by a northbound pickup.
A 48-year-old RM of St. Clements man was driving the northbound pickup and a 42-year-old Winnipeg man was driving the westbound pickup. Both drivers were transported to hospital and were later released with minor injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision and that both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The investigation continues with the assistance of an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist.
