A 30-year-old Mitchell, Manitoba man is facing is facing some serious charges after being recently arrested by Steinbach RCMP.
Shortly before 5:30am on February 9, 2015, members of the Steinbach RCMP Detachment received a complaint of a disturbance in Park Road area of Steinbach. Police were advised that an adult male had just slashed the tires of a vehicle before fleeing towards the 100 block of Highway 12 North, armed with a knife.
RCMP members tracked the suspect to a local restaurant and made a high risk arrest of the suspect. As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Matthew Kroeker of Mitchell, MB, was charged with uttering threats to kill, mischief and two counts of possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence. Kroeker was remanded into custody.
