On February 20, 2015, at 7:34am, Arborg RCMP were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Highway 7, approximately six kilometres south of Arborg, MB.

Police say that a GMC Torrent was traveling south on Highway 7 when it collided with a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck. The driver of the GMC Torrent, 30-year-old Jarred Gislason, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Gislason was traveling with his six-year-old son who received minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram had non-life threatening injuries and both the Dodge Ram driver and six-year-old were transferred to hospital.

RCMP report that preliminary investigation has ruled out alcohol as a factor in this incident.
