Steinbach RCMP have arrested and charged a Steinbach youth in an arson incident that occurred earlier this year.
On February 15, 2009, Steinbach RCMP responded to a fire at Penfeld Court Apartments in Steinbach, Manitoba. RCMP investigation deemed the fire to be suspicious. The Office of the Fire Commissioner attended the scene and confirmed that the fire was a result of Arson. Several tenants were inside the apartment unit when the fire was set, and the damage to the building is currently estimated at over $50,000.00.
After a lengthy investigation, Steinbach RCMP have arrested and charged a Steinbach youth with arson – disregard for human life.
The name of the youth charged will not be released.
