On February 27, 2015, Beausejour RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a local convenience store.
Police say that a lone male entered the store and became violent when staff asked him to leave. One victim was injured as a result of the incident and was treated at hospital and later released.
RCMP report that the suspect, 24-year-old James Richard Payjack, is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm, common assault and mischief under $5,000. He was released on a promise to appear with conditions and will make his first appearance in Beausejour Provincial Court on April 14, 2015.
