A Steinbach man is facing numerous drug related charges after recently being arrested by St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP.
On March 1, 2015, at approximately 4pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP investigated a motorist in the Ile Des Chenes area for an offence under the Provincial Highway Traffic Act.
As a result of the traffic stop, one motor vehicle was seized along with an undisclosed amount of marijuana, methamphetamine and a prohibited weapon.
RCMP report that 27-year-old Eric Jonathan Schinkel of Steinbach, was arrested and is facing eight charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code.
Police continue to investigate.
