Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, announced that seniors groups in Provencher will receive financial support for equipment and renovations to their seniors clubs.
Nineteen organizations will be receiving $294,087 for their projects from the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).
The following is a list of the organizations receiving funding in Provencher:
- Club des Pionniers de Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Saint-Jean-Baptiste – $24,777
- Le Club Jovial, Ste. Anne – $13,560
- Franklin Craft Club, Dominion City – $24,248
- Mitchell & Area Seniors Centre, Mitchell – $25,000
- Steinbach Meal Program, Steinbach – $25,000
- Manoir Saint-Pierre-Jolys, Saint-Pierre-Jolys – $11,000
- East Borderland Community Housing, Sprague – $5,973
- Eager Beavers Seniors Club, Buffalo Point – $22,000
- Chalet Malouin, St. Malo – $9,500
- Roseau Valley Legion Branch #160, Dominion City – $8,750
- Pine, Needles, Cones, Vassar – $10,550
- Grunthal New Horizon Community Centre, Grunthal – $20,300
- Le Club Amical de St. Adolphe, St. Adolphe – $25,000
- Paradise Village Residents Association, Ste. Anne – $6,337
- Local Government District of Pinawa, Pinawa – $10,000
- Pioneer Club of Lac du Bonnet, Lac du Bonnet – $16,232
- Library Allard, St. Georges – $9,123

“Our Government recognizes the valuable contribution seniors have made to our society and the economy,” said MP Falk. “By supporting New Horizons for Seniors Program projects, we are acting to ensure that seniors maintain a good quality of life and continue to be active members of their communities.”
