On the afternoon of March, 20, 2015, Parkland RCMP officers arrested a 45-year-old Ethelbert, Manitoba man for impaired driving.

RCMP report that an officer on patrol observed the man driving an unregistered van into his yard.  When the officer approached, the man showed signs of having consumed alcohol. He physically and verbally challenged the officer and then struck the officer. Additional officers arrived on scene and the man was taken in to custody. The officer was not injured.

As a result of this incident, Marc Andre Dorais, 45, has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, refusing to provide a breath sample. Dorais also faces a number of charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
