On March 29, 2015, shortly after 7pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a car. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 12 and Provincial Road 28 North, just south of Steinbach.

Police say that the driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man, along with his passenger, a 55-year-old woman, both from Ste. Anne, were transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man from the Steinbach area, was transported to Winnipeg hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP report that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
