On March 25, 2015, just before 9am, Gimli RCMP responded to a report of a dog attack in the RM of Gimli, Manitoba.
Police say that an eight-year-old boy from the RM of Gimli was waiting for the school bus on 4th Avenue when two dogs jumped on him from behind. The boy was able to get away from the dogs, but suffered minor injuries from being bitten and was taken to local hospital for treatment.
RCMP alerted local schools as to the dog attack and local animal control was dispatched. The two German Shepherd-mix dogs were seized. Any questions regarding the animals can be directed to RM of Gimli Mayor Randy Woroniuk at the RM office.
