On April 11, 2015, the Dakota Ojibway Police Service received a report of a possible burial site in Roseau River First Nation and requested assistance from specialized RCMP services.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended the community and began processing the site and surrounding area.

Police say that the forensic exam continues. No human remains, or evidence of the same, have been located to date.
