Mayerthorpe RCMP are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 37-year-old Misty Faith Potts.
Through the investigation RCMP have confirmed Misty Potts was last seen near Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation on Saturday, March 13, 2015. Misty may be traveling to Edmonton or the lower mainland of British Columbia. It is also possible that Misty Faith Potts could travel to Manitoba.
Misty is described as 5’6″ tall, weighs approximately 120-130 lbs, has dark brown, shoulder-length hair and freckles on her face. She was last seen wearing a red jacket, coral-coloured jeans and thick black-rimmed glasses.
Mayerthorpe RCMP have conducted ground searches in the vicinity of where she was reportedly last seen. However all efforts to locate her, to date, have been unsuccessful. The RCMP Missing Persons Unit, “K” Division General Investigation Section, Police Service Dog and Parkland Search and rescue team are assisting with the investigation.
Cst. Rob Gillies of the Mayerthorpe RCMP says “we are concerned for Misty and her well being.” “We hope that information from the public can lead to her whereabouts.”
