This past Tuesday evening, Fairway Ford in Steinbach helped raise approximately $2,000 towards the nature playground at Southwood School by holding a Drive One 4UR School fundraising event. The event was part of a Spring Concert and Nature Playground Fundraiser hosted by the Southwood School and Parent Advisory Council.

Attendance at the fundraiser was estimated at approximately 300-400 people with about 100 people participating in the test drive event. Parent Advisory Council also held a 50/50 raffle, earning the school $189. Along with the raffle, Southwood School received personal donations of $340.
“I am considering this event a success and am very happy with the turn out,” said fundraiser coordinator Claire Banman. “We would like to thank everyone for attending and supporting this event.”
Banman also noted that donations towards the Nature Playground at Southwood School are still being accepted. Tax receipts are available for any amounts over $25.
