On May 18, 2015, just before 4pm, Beausejour RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on the north side of Springfield Road, approximately one kilometer east of Colony Road in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation shows that a pickup truck was traveling west near the location when it went off the road, collided with a tree and ending up in a ditch.
RCMP report that the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 58-year-old man from the RM of Brokenhead, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
