On June 1, 2015, at about 11:30pm, RCMP responded to a report of a collision between an SUV and a pedestrian on Paupanekis Point Road in Norway House, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling south on Paupanekis Point Road when it struck with a pedestrian. The 24-year-old male pedestrian from Norway House was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased.
RCMP report that the driver of the vehicle involved, a 41-year-old Norway House woman, did not suffer any injuries. At this time, alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
