On June 6, 2015, at approximately 8:30pm, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in La Broquerie, Manitoba.
Police say that the witness obtained a license plate number of the suspect vehicle. A license plate check by RCMP showed that the registered owner was from Grunthal, Manitoba.
Officers patrolled the La Broquerie area with negative results. Approximately 30 minutes later, police located the suspect vehicle on Highway 205, just west of Sarto. Police conducted a traffic stop and found the driver to be impaired. The driver was escorted to the Steinbach RCMP Detachment where he provided breath tests twice the legal limit.
RCMP report that a 33-year-old Grunthal man will be appearing in Steinbach Court on June 18, 2015 and will be facing charges of impaired driving and driving over 80 mgs of alcohol.
