A Milner Ridge Correctional Centre corrections officer is facing impaired driving charges after being found driving with almost two times the legal limit of blood alcohol content.
On June 5, 2015, just after 11pm, Beausejour RCMP responded to a report of a collision on James Avenue in Beausejour, Manitoba. Police investigation shows that an SUV had collided with a parked car that then collided with another parked car.
The male driver and lone occupant of the SUV was transported to local hospital, where he was treated and released. After speaking with the driver, it was apparent to RCMP officers that he was intoxicated and was placed under arrest.
RCMP report that 40-year-old Neil Kronberg of Beausejour, was almost two times the legal limit of blood alcohol content and has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired operation over 80 mg%. Kronberg, a corrections officer at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, has been released from custody pending a court appearance.
