Ed and Kathy Friesen of Kleefeld were named the 2015 Farm Family of the Year at a ceremony in Winnipeg last night where they were joined by their Member of the Legislature, Kelvin Goertzen and Hanover Reeve Stan Toews.

The Friesen’s own and operate Friecrest Holsteins, a dairy farm which they began in 1999. Ed is active in many dairy industry boards and they take pride in hosting groups and providing tours of their operations to increase awareness of the farming industry.
The Farm Family of the Year award began in 1966 and is presented by the Red River Exhibition Association.
