Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen welcomed twelve distinguished Manitobans into the Order of Manitoba at the Manitoba Legislature.
Order of Manitoba recipient Jonathan Toews, along with Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen.
The Order of Manitoba is the highest provincial honour. Goertzen noted this years recipients are honoured for a wide variety of contributions, from music to sports to victim advocacy that have touched thousands of Manitobans and represented the province on the world stage.
This years recipients are: Rachel Oyenihun Alao, Chad Allan, Karen Beaudin, Tom Cochrane, Dian Nusgart Cohen, Wilma Derksen, Daniel George Johnson, Sheldon Kennedy, Donald Mackey, Mitch Podolak, Monica Kkhem Kamarie Singh and Jonathan Toews.
