Fourty-three organizations in Provencher have received investments to hire local youth for the summer months. The funding was announced by Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher. Canada Summer Jobs provided $201,854 in investment to support these 43 students.
Canada Summer Jobs helps students gain the skills and experience they need to be successful, now and in the future, while earning money for the upcoming school year. In 2015, the Canada Summer Jobs program is expected to create approximately 35,000 jobs, while helping employers address skills shortages.
Some of the Canada Summer Jobs Projects in Steinbach include the Jake Epp Library, Kinder Korner Early Learning, Child Evangelism Fellowship of MB, Mennonite Heritage Village and Steinbach Arts Council.
