On July 12, 2015, approximately 11pm, officers from the Dauphin RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a home on 5th Avenue S.W. in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Officers attended the residence and learned that a male suspect had entered the home, confronted a male resident of the home, then dragged him from the house. Once outside, the suspect sprayed the victim with an aerosol irritant then stole his wallet. The victim received minor injuries.
On July 20, 2015, investigators charged 25-year-old Billy Joseph Howard Chartrand with numerous offences including break, enter and committing a robbery. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Billy Chartrand is described as aboriginal in appearance, 5’10” tall, weighs approximately 175 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
